Youth Meeting 

Sri Wimukthi  Fishers Women's Organization, organed by  youth meeting on 15 January 2019. The 25 youth members participated in this event. Attention was focused on following matters.

Appointment of New Officials, Create an annual work plan, Waste Management, a disaster committee is created, Look at the work that I did last year, Vincent Fernando was given the resource for this event.

Visit French Team for Sri Vimukthi Fisher Women Organization

Small group of 07 members from France visited the Munnakkaraya group of Sri Vimukthi Organization in Negambo on the 14^th January 2019.  The visiting group wanted to know how the Sri Vimukthi organization was started  and the impact of this organization was discussed. Experience sharing was discussed of both groups as Women’s organizations.   

Awareness program on Waste Management Kadollkale Negombo

An awareness program on ‘Gabage Management was done in Kadolkele,Negambo on the 11^th of January 2019.  10 members from the Sri Vimukthi organization participated for the discussion. Issues related to Garbage Management, Environmental problems related to garbage Management and how to manage the issue was discussed. A short video was shown by Laksiri Fernando the Youth Coordinator and discussion was followed based on the problems identified. 

How to produce low cost manure using garbage and the notorious value of using such manure was discussed. Subhashini explained the gabage can be managed at our own gardens and the if the members needs the technical know-how about this subject she can invite someone to share the knowledge on the same.
